Venous Ablation

Venous ablation is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicose veins, which are enlarged, twisted veins that can cause pain, swelling, and cosmetic concerns.  Patient will lie on a table with their legs slightly elevated.  Local anesthetic is injected and a thin catheter is inserted into the vein.  Radiofrequency or heat are used to create scaring around valves and veins so that fluid doesn’t pass through.  Patients will leave shortly after procedure and can resume normal activity a few days post procedure.
